Write to the editors

The editors read every message sent through the form on this page or by email to info@tayninhtourism.com. We reply by email when a message needs an answer.

How to reach us

Use the form below, or write to info@tayninhtourism.com. Both reach the same editors. We do not publish a phone number and do not take calls; email lets us check what you send against a source and keep a record of corrections.

What to write to us about

Corrections

These are the messages we value most. Cable car hours, coach fares, festival programmes and administrative names in the merged province change faster than any guide can track, and visitors who have just been there are often the first to know. A useful correction answers four questions:

  1. Which page, and which sentence or table row?
  2. What did you find instead?
  3. When? The date matters, because things change.
  4. How do you know? A link to an official notice, a photo of a fare board or timetable, or what happened on your visit.

Questions about a page

If something on a page is unclear, ask. If several readers ask the same thing, the page needs rewriting, and we will rewrite it. We answer questions about what a page says; we cannot plan a trip for you or check availability.

Advertising enquiries

If you would like to place an advertisement, say so in the subject and tell us which pages or sections you have in mind. Advertising is handled separately from editorial messages, appears only in the labelled advertising spaces, and does not affect what the pages say. The about page sets out the policy.

Something else

Suggestions for new pages, sources we have missed, or photographs you would be willing to let us use with credit are all welcome under "Something else".

What we cannot help with

  • Booking tours, cable car tickets, coaches or rooms. The guide does not sell or arrange travel.
  • Emergencies. If you are in difficulty, contact local emergency services and your embassy or consulate.
  • Visa applications or immigration questions about your own case. Use the official channels.
  • Complaints about a business. Take them to the business or the relevant local authority.

If you are not sure whether your message fits, send it anyway. A question we cannot answer yet tells us what readers are looking for.

How replies work

Messages go straight to the editors. If your message needs an answer, we reply by email to the address you give. We do not promise a reply time: corrections are checked against a source before a page changes, and that can take longer than a reply would. When a correction is confirmed, you will see the change on the page and in the corrections log on the about page.

We do not publish your name or your message. If a correction you send is used, the page credits "a reader" unless you ask to be named. The privacy page lists which details the form collects and what happens to them.

Before you write

Check the checked date under the section you are writing about. If the date is recent and your information is older, the page may already reflect the change. If the source linked there says something different from the page, that is exactly the kind of report we want.

For fares and opening hours, the operator's own channels are faster than we are. For entry rules, use the official travel advice of your government. For questions about the merger and administrative names, the provincial newspaper publishes official announcements.

Common questions

Questions readers ask

How quickly do you reply?

We reply by email when a message needs an answer, without a fixed time. Corrections are checked against a source first.

Can I phone the editors?

No. The guide works by email and through the form only.

Will you publish my name?

Not unless you ask. A correction is credited to "a reader" by default.
